Firstly, we're a language Company - not just an agency. This means we translate and proof-read in-house (we don't simply sub-contract) , and our dedicated professional in-house team manage every aspect of a project, assisted by our unique database system. Pre-translation we review the content to resolve any ambiguities or errors in the source. During translation we support, advise and manage the translators to ensure the highest translation standard, and on-time delivery. Pre-delivery the translation is 100% reviewed, and fully-formatted to a standard as good as, and often better than, the original. And exactly the same care goes into interpreting assignments, voice over projects, typesetting...
Secondly our experience - because language in the established UK communities is different - it's constantly evolving. In established communities vocabulary has changed extensively to use many English words, while written fluency is declining as exposure to English media increases. If you wish to communicate effectively with an established UK community, your choice of translator needs to be made with care; recognising the influence of UK residency on vocabulary and fluency. For example, all too often language providers simply have Urdu translation done by a translator in Pakistan, meaning the translation - while probably accurate - will be of limited usability in the UK. Lifeline Language Services has developed close links with our local community, with access to excellent linguists within that (including qualified legal practitioners) able to translate appropriately for your community. translation TRANSLATION: We provide over 150 languages, including non-English combinations and Braille, across a wide range of topics. Specialisms include Environmental, Health & Safety, Logistics, Insurance, Medical, Technical and IT. We can work in almost every available format, including PDF, websites, Quark, Visio, InDesign and Illustrator. Translations can be Certified or Notarised, and we also have a Spanish Government approved Sworn Translator in-house.

TYPESETTING: Translated versions don't always have to be the poor relation of the English original! Working in both Mac and PC formats in most standard packages including Quark, InDesign, and Illustrator we provide perfectly laid-out press-ready translation of newsletters, proposals, posters, magazines and more.
